The Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, is located on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor. This World Heritage Site is home to the tombs of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Seti I. The tombs are carved into the cliffs of the Theban Mountains.
